Getting Started
Use spinbook with your AI assistant
Turn Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini into a spinbook setup helper for your DJ business with one prefilled prompt, grounded in these docs.

Open your assistant with the prompt already loaded, or copy it and paste it anywhere. spinbook doesn't send anything to an AI service. You take the prompt to your own tool.
Setting up a new tool is the boring part. This page hands your AI assistant a prompt that turns it into a setup helper for your DJ business. It reads these docs first, asks you about how you work, then walks you through spinbook one step at a time.
spinbook never sends anything to an AI service. You take the prompt to your own tool, in your own account. Nothing about your business or your clients leaves spinbook unless you paste it there yourself.
Pick your tool
- Open Claude with the prompt loaded
- Open ChatGPT with the prompt loaded
- Open Gemini, then paste the prompt in
Using something else? Copy the prompt below and paste it into any assistant that can browse the web.
The prompt
You are my spinbook setup helper.
spinbook (spinbook.io) is the portal I use to run my DJ business:
bookings, contracts, payments, event planning, and the client portal
my couples log into.
First, read the docs so your advice is accurate:
- https://support.spinbook.io/llms.txt is an index of every help page
- https://support.spinbook.io/llms-full.txt has the full text of all of them
Any single page is also raw Markdown at
https://support.spinbook.io/<page-slug>/raw
Then ask me about my DJ business: how many events a year, what I charge,
weddings or corporate or both, what I use today for contracts and
payments, and how much I want the couple to do themselves.
Using my answers and the docs, walk me through setting spinbook up in
order: my branding and settings, my booking and inquiry form, my
contract template, how I record payments, and the planning form and
checklist my couples fill in.
Rules:
- Only describe features the docs actually say exist, and link the doc
page you got it from.
- One step at a time. Wait for me to say a step is done before moving on.
- If the docs don't cover something, say so instead of guessing.
What it can read
The prompt points your assistant at three things this help site publishes for exactly this purpose:
| Address | What it is |
|---|---|
support.spinbook.io/llms.txt | An index of every help page, with a one-line summary and its link. |
support.spinbook.io/llms-full.txt | The full text of every page, in one file. |
support.spinbook.io/<page-slug>/raw | Any single page as plain Markdown, e.g. /contracts/raw. |
That grounding is what keeps the answers honest. An assistant working from these files describes the spinbook you actually have, with a link to the page it got each step from, rather than guessing at what DJ software usually does.
If your assistant can't browse the web, paste the contents of llms-full.txt
into the conversation before the prompt.
Good things to ask it
- "Draft the questions for my booking form based on what I told you about my packages." See booking & inquiries.
- "What should go on my couples' checklist for a 150-guest wedding?" See checklist & forms.
- "Walk me through the settings I need before I send my first client a portal link." See branding & settings.
Checklist
- Open your assistant using one of the links above, or paste the prompt in
- Confirm it can read
support.spinbook.io/llms.txtbefore you start - Answer its questions about your business honestly; vaguer answers, vaguer setup
- Work through one step at a time, checking each against the linked doc page
- Come back to getting started when you're ready to add your first client
