A weekly and monthly email telling you who still owes you and what is still outstanding, with a link to every item.
Updated Thu Sep 24 2026 00:00:00 GMT+0000 (Coordinated Universal Time)
SpinBook emails you a short digest of the things still waiting on you: payments that are late, payments coming due, and checklist items your couples have not finished. Every line links straight to the page where you deal with it.
One email, one job
The digest is a worklist, not a report. It leads with money, because that is what you want to know first, then the checklist items you need to chase.
If nothing is outstanding, nothing is sent. There is no "nothing to report" email. That is the point: when a digest lands in your inbox, there is genuinely something to do.
What is in it
- Overdue payments. Which couple, how much, how many days late.
- Payments due soon. The next 14 days on the weekly, the next month on the monthly.
- Overdue checklist items. Planning forms, timelines, and contracts your couples have let slip.
- Checklist items due soon, in the same window.
Long lists are trimmed to the top twelve per section with an "and 8 more" line, so the email stays readable. Nothing is hidden: the count is always the real one.
Choosing what arrives
Go to Settings → Notifications. You can:
- Turn the weekly digest on or off, and pick the day and time it arrives
- Turn the monthly digest on or off, and pick the time it arrives on the 1st
- Turn couple activity emails on or off: one email per event, sent about an hour after a couple finishes working on their checklist, listing everything they did in that sitting. Never one email per click.
- Send yourself a test to see exactly what it looks like
Times are in your business timezone, the one you set under Call scheduling. A DJ in Wisconsin and a DJ in California both get theirs at 8am their own time.
Everyone sets their own
Preferences belong to the person, not the business. If you have invited people under Team, each of them chooses their own days, times, and switches. Yours never change what your DJs receive.
When it arrives
Digests go out on the schedule you pick. If something delays the send, SpinBook catches up and sends late rather than skipping the week, and the settings page shows you when your last one went out. If a digest was ever missed entirely, that shows there too.
Send yourself a test
The test button sends the digest exactly as it would arrive right now. It does not use up that week's real send, so you can press it as often as you like.
If you get a message saying there was nothing to send, that is the feature working: you have nothing outstanding.
